About us
Wecolme to Avalon Jewellery, the website for our Cornwall based retail outlets Avalon Designs and Crystalicious. We are a family company designing and making a range of beaded jewellery and fused glass pendants and earrings. We also carry a wide and exciting range of contemporary jewellery and accessories, most of which we import ourselves.
We went self employed in 1984, our first business was a charming china and giftware store. In 1988 we moved to Cornwall and opened two new shops, a gift shop in Polperro and a gallery in Looe. After some years we left retail behind and using our knowledge of the china trade started designing and manufactoring for Royal Doulton. Then in 2004 we were bitten by the jewellery making bug! Since then we have added several different aspects to our skills in designing and making a varied and unusual range of products.
In 2006 we opened our first jewellery shop in Looe, in 2008 Truro followed, and in 2009 we acquired a much larger and centrally located premises in Looe, for what is now probably the largest selection of its kind in the town! In 2010 after much trial and tribulation our website went live. Our original shop in Looe was re-branded as Crystalicious selling only crystal jewellery.
